About ETD-Hub
What is ETD-Hub?
ETD-Hub is a community Q&A forum for discussing AI ethics and emerging technologies. It is part of the ALFIE project, funded by the European Union's Horizon Europe programme, and brings together experts, researchers, and practitioners to share knowledge and perspectives.
Who is ETD-Hub for?
ETD-Hub is designed for researchers, students, policymakers, industry professionals, and engaged citizens with an interest in AI ethics and technology. Browsing questions and answers is open to everyone. Posting questions or answers requires a verified expert account.
Asking & Answering
How do I ask a question?
Click "Ask Question" in the top navigation. You will need a verified expert account and must assign your question to a theme. Before posting, check whether a similar question already exists.
How do I answer a question?
Open any question and scroll to the "Your Answer" section at the bottom. You must have a verified expert account to post an answer.
Can I edit my question or answer after posting?
Yes. You can edit your own questions and answers at any time using the Edit button that appears on your content.
Can I reply to an answer?
Yes. Each answer has a Reply button that lets you add a follow-up comment directly below it.
Themes & Topics
What are themes?
Themes are the main topic categories that organise questions on ETD-Hub — for example, AI Bias, AI Ethics, Legislation, or Datasets. Every question must be assigned to a theme.
How do I browse by theme?
Go to the Browse page and use the "Browse by Topic" cards at the top, or visit the Themes page from the sidebar. You can also filter questions by topic using the filter bar on the Browse page.
Voting
What is voting for?
Voting helps surface the most useful answers. You can upvote or downvote answers to signal their quality. You cannot vote on your own answers.
Account & Support
How do I create an account?
Click "Sign Up" in the top navigation and complete the registration form.
I found a bug or have a problem. What should I do?
Log in and use the Support link in the navigation to submit a report. We review all submissions.
